All of the animals who can be adopted or have already been adopted have suffered mistreatment and abandonment. Our very first objective is to guarantee responsible and permanent homes for them, and that they become part of a loving family and stay throughout their lives, in a comfortable and familiar atmosphere, in a family who can meet their vital needs : love, understanding, feeding, veterinary care ... - For this reason, to make sure they receive all these, home checks, follow-up and monitoring are made following and prior to adoption.

If upon inspection we find that the information contained in this adoption contract to be false or the animal is not in compliance with our requirements in addition to local animal control laws, we reserve the right to reclaim and remove said animal.

As above mentioned adopter, by signing this contract, I agree to and understand the conditions set forth. I also certify that the information provided on this form is true & correct. I am also financially and physically able to care for this animal. I understand that proper food and veterinarian care can be costly and I am able to meet this requirements. I agree :

• To accept the home checks Pro Animales Mallorca consider necessary, following and prior to adoption and which are intended to check the animal wealth conditions and well being.
  
  
• To inform Pro Animales Mallorca in case of change of any contact information data, such as change of address, phone number and/or e-mail. Also to inform immediately in case the animal gets lost, within 48 hours maximum time.
  
  
• To exercise due and reasonable care of the animal and to look after his/her physical and psicological welfare, in accordance to animal protection laws. Under no circumstances adopter will mistreat or allow mistreatment by others.
  
  
• To put a microchip identification in the animal, and in case he/she has got it already, to replace data and insert data of the new owner.
  
  
• To provide veterinary care : said animal is to be made and kept current on vaccines and other necessary medical needs as recommended by their vet.
  
  
• To provide the animal with a loving, familiar atmosphere.
  
  
• To expressly renounce to sell, give to others without Pro Animales Mallorca permission, or to use adopted pet for hunting or any purpose other than a household pet.
  
  
• No animals are to breed or allowed to breed, and adopter will spay or neuter said animal, if he/she has not been altered already, by an agreed date.
  
  
• To inform immediately to Pro Animales Mallorca in case the situation stated by the adoptant while according the adoption has changed.
  
  
• To abandon him/her, To euthanase said animal (except on vet´s orders): In case the animal suffers from a terminal incurable illness and is in pain, and there is no other option but euthanase, this will be done by a vet.

Pro-Animales-Mallorca reserves the right to reclaim said animal if it is not in compliance with our requirements in addition to local animal control laws. The above mentioned adopter authorizes Pro-Animales-Mallorca, in its sole discretion, to determine whether or not said pet will be reclaimed and adoption terminated if conditions of this contract are not upheld.

The above mentioned adopter declares to be informed that any infringement of the conditions of this contract will imply that the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals will take legal action and make a formal complaint to the competent official organizations on animal welfare.
